The producers of
Batman Begins &
The Dark Knight have gone the way of the
Animatrix and developed a sequel/prequel to the two hit blockbuster movies. The twist, this movie is done via anime with six of the greatest anime directors out there. Just like
Animatrix, these stories are not necessary to understand the gap between the two films, but it is a nice addition to the story, and allows for further character development as well as relationship development as well.
This movie is phenomenal. Whether you like anime or not, this is what Batman is all about: action, drama, amazing effects and artistry, and great characters. During these six tales, Batman is painted more and more as a human than any other story portrayed before. In this movie, even though there are stories that further build his legend as the invincible shadow fighter, there are others where he is severely injured and he goes though the same motions as a normal man. Part of what makes Batman so likeable is that he is a regular man that does super things regardless of the impossible odds placed before him. Between his new inventions, expert fighting skills and amazing detective work, the crew behind this film truly delivers a one of a kind Batman experience.
So if you have time before you go to see
